So I've been going through some stuff the past 6 months and so the other day I decided to just go out and lay under the stars.I just sat there and talked to God a little and then asked him the big question.
I said..."Am I gonna be okay?". And then decided to tack on the proverbial..."Please show me a sign if I'm gonna be okay." About a minute or so later, out of the corner of my eye, I see a shooting star. It was faint, but it was there.
My own personal sign from God that everything is gonna be okay...that I'm gonna be okay.
It was a great feeling.
A few days after that I'm watching an episode of The Hills...I know it's stupid and scripted, but for some reason I actually enjoy it. Anyway, this song comes on at the very end and I really loved it, so I looked it up like I always do (I do this A LOT with tons of songs from tv shows). It turns out it's a very new song from this band I already knew called The Afters. They aren't super famous, but they are well known...I think.
It's called "Light Up the Sky".
After really thinking about it just a minute ago and after watching a video about the meaning behind it...I think it kind of goes along with the shooting star. It's something I can listen to when I'm having those moments where I don't think I'll be okay...that it won't get better again.
