Lost

This is a poem I recently wrote...I haven't written many poems lately...this is probably the second one, maybe the third, in the past year.

“Lost”

I’ve always been told
To play among the stars
I always thought
There was no harm

I dreamed so big
I couldn’t see
What was really
My destiny

I was always meant
To do something good
But was it what
I thought I should

All along
I wasted time
Going after
What wasn’t mine

Because of this
I am filled with guilt
A house on the moon
I should have built

Instead I played
Among the stars
And in the end
I lost it all
